Christmas From the Heart
Due to a grant from the Truman Lake Community Foundation, Living Waters Foundation was able to expand this outreach ministry to the Lowry City children. Osceola and Lowry City children in their respective communities were invited to Christmas From the Heart to make Christmas gifts for their family members. We welcomed the help from Lowry City Baptist Church this year. A wonderful meal of stew, potato soup, and grilled cheese sandwiches was enjoyed by the participants and volunteers. After making their gifts they were assisted in wrapping the gifts and labeling them. Making wreaths and door decorations was added this year at Osceola and will be available at Lowry City next year. It was a fun, two day outreach ministry!  Some supplies have already been purchased for next year with the generous donations from Larry and Jan Sheldon, Susan Gardner, and Merilee Foote. The best time to buy supplies is during the post Christmas clearance sales at local stores. Thank you!

An awesome evening of gift making for their family members

Osceola and Lowry City children were once again treated to an awesome evening of gift making for their family members. This year we were surprised by a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus! We would like to say a special thank you to The Truman Lake Community Foundation for the grant money we received which allowed us to provide awesome crafts for the children to make. Thanks to the generosity of several friends of LWR, we had a variety of soup and grilled cheese sandwiches to serve to the families in attendance. Other financial donations have allowed us to purchase supplies on clearance after the holidays which makes our money go even farther!

All expenses were covered by donations.  The volunteers came from several churches in the community.  A warm meal of soup and a grilled cheese sandwich was enjoyed by each of the children and volunteers. This year we estimated about 75 children were in attendance. Next year we hope to bless even more families.
